Hello! My name is Tess Santoro, and I am excited to be the new Class of 2026 CVMA Student Representative at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine! Here’s a little about me:
I am from Homer Glen, IL, and earlier this year I received my bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in French from Central Michigan University, where I was highly involved in the Pre-Veterinary Club and other club and organizations. I have also worked at a small animal clinic in Downers Grove for the past three years, which has been amazing for developing my love for and knowledge of veterinary medicine. In the future, I am currently interested in working in small animal and exotics general practice, but I am always keeping an open mind and learning more about the many different paths that are possible in veterinary medicine! Lastly, in addition to being the first year CVMA student representative, I am the SAVMA Junior Delegate for the college. Overall, I am so looking forward to becoming more involved in CVMA and organized veterinary medicine!
