Seeking In-home Hospice/Euthanasia Veterinarian

If you are looking for a cure for compassion fatigue and burnout, we may have the perfect career for you.  A Gentle Goodbye Veterinary Hospice is a unique practice, focusing on end of life medicine, including euthanasia and hospice, done exclusively in the comfort of the patient’s home. We have provided high quality end of life medicine in Chicagoland since 2012, and we are looking to add an additional doctor to our team.  Because our clients generally seek out our services, we are fortunate to have an above-average number of great clients.  We place a high value on building relationships with the families we help and providing high quality care with compassion, all while earning a good living, enjoying our work, and having a true work/life balance.

The ideal candidate lives in Chicago, preferably in or near the Wrigleyville-area, and wants to make a difference for the patient and client, and experience an incredibly satisfying field of veterinary medicine. This may be the perfect fit for you!  Preference will be given to a veterinarian who has been out of school at least 2-3 years.  The majority of our appointments are in north Chicago, although further driving is often required.  

Pay is 100% production.  Salary is an option if desired in the future, but all our current DVMs love this payment method, to allow for more flexible scheduling, with an average of $90,000-$110,000 easily expected.

Set schedule (rotating every other week) with only a 4-day work week.  No additional on call duties required, and every other weekend off. 

Sun off, Mon 10-8, Tues 9-6, Wed 9-6, Thurs off, Fri off, Sat 10-7

Sun 10-7, Mon 10-8, Tues off, Wed 9-6, Thurs off, Fri 10-7, Sat off
