LEAD IN PET TOYS? CBS 2 CHICAGO REPORTS
After recalls of everything from pet food to children's toys manufactured in China, many pet owners have concerns about the toys they provide their pet. Could they be dangerous? The fact is, no one is certain what level of lead would pose a danger to pets, but veterinarian Shannon Greeley says lead is dangerous if ingested by an animal. "Symptoms include a lot of vomiting and diarrhea, then we begin to see neurologic signs, tremors, seizures," Greeley said, describing lead poisoning in pets. Still Greeley says the industry has so far not seen any lead poisoning due to toys. Check the link below for the video interview from CBS 2 news.

PUPPIES & CHEWING
Question : How do I stop my puppy from chewing on everything? The good news is that most dogs do grow out of their chewing behavior as they get older. The bad news is that they can do quite a lot of damage before they do.

RABBITS AND EASTER
Easter is fast approaching and that means pet stores are stocking up with "Easter Bunnies". Many families can't resist these sweet little pets for their young children, but all too often are not prepared for the long-term commitment. Typically, the novelty wears off and the rabbits are dumped at a shelter, or worse, set free in the woods.
